We'll be taking it dam sloe (all pun intended) with our annual seasonal Dam Sloe Gin.
An artisanal sloe gin made from locally foraged wild damsons and sloes, honey and rose petals, and matured for two years with our own Oxford Rye Dry Gin, this is the kind of spirit that shows exactly what we're all about. Working with nature, taking our time and producing something we could happily sup all evening.
As with everything at The Oxford Artisan Distillery, the gin base is distilled from our heritage grains, grown just for us mostly within 50 miles of Oxford. Eschewing pesticides and chemical fertilisers all of our crops are grown sustainably, contributing to an abundance of wildflowers, insects and birds across our farms.
We recommend our Dam Sloe Gin neat, ideally at the end of a meal with a good cheese, or in an Artisan Aperitif. To make your Artisan Aperitif at home:
50ml Dam Sloe Gin
25ml Sweet Vermouth
15ml Oxford Rye Vodka
50ml Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic
Stir together the Dam Sloe Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Oxford Rye Vodka and strain into your glass.
Add 50ml Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic and stir to combine.
