It’s widely known that we’re big sloe gin fans at the best of times, and here we are, upping the sloe game with something really, really special.
This sloe gin is a reflection of time – the most important ingredient in all spirit production. Locally-picked wild damsons and sloes rested in our award-winning Oxford Rye Organic Dry Gin for over a year and then spent a further year maturing in the richest Vintage Port barrique we could find. This Vintage Port barrique, one of our favourite casks of all time, has brought depth alongside rich berry and wine flavours to the wild damsons and sloes.
This is the kind of spirit that shows exactly what we're all about. Working with nature, taking our time and producing something really special.
As with everything at The Oxford Artisan Distillery, the gin base is distilled from our ancient heritage grains, grown just for us within 50 miles of Oxford. Eschewing pesticides and chemical fertilisers all of our crops are grown sustainably, contributing to an abundance of wildflowers, insects and birds across our farms.
